Emily Ma is a researcher at CADL. She is a Research Associate at Voyage Ltd., an incubation partner of a poverty alleviation project “JC PROJECT LIFT”, and is responsible for evaluating the effectiveness of the intervention. Launched by the Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, the program aims to enhance employability and upward mobility for more than 2,500 transitional housing families. She is also involved in research on hospice/palliative care for terminal cancer patients in Hong Kong. She had worked at the Our Hong Kong Foundation on researching mental health policy and primary care development. During her college years, she led the design and implementation of mental health interventions for rural teachers and adolescents in Jingyuan, Gansu province. She graduated from Brown University in the United States with a Master’s of Public Health and a Bachelor’s degree in psychology.
